FCA President Deborah Meckler of South San Francisco:  In addition to being a volunteer  with FCA and serving as president, Deborah works in land stewardship with the Coastside Land Trust where she is actively working to make green burial an option on the Peninsula. Deborah has a BA in History and a BS in Natural Resources Management.  She has worked as an environmental consultant doing environmental impact analysis focusing on water and biological resources.  Prior to her environmental career, she worked in telecommunication engineering and management.  

Roberta "Bobby" Bailey of Sunnyvale has been a member of FCA since 1987.  With five children and nine grandchildren, she actively continues her education and has a special interest in hospice and end-of-life issues.




Allan Behr of Half Moon Bay has worked in high tech since the 1960's in positions ranging from program and product management to CEO. He has also been the Managing Director of another non-profit. 





Byron Chan of San Francisco is a retired high school teacher and counselor of 35 years+.  He remains active as a member/officer at a SF Chinatown church, as a volunteer at SFO/USO, and, as a happy, go-lucky grandparent of grandchildren living in Palo Alto.  His hope is to become an active advocate for the Funeral Consumer Alliance and its mission. 


Ann Nola of San Jose founded and is past director of the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants and a member of or founder of many other organizations, including the Center for Living with Dying. Semi-retired from a career focused on the celebration of love, she now focuses on the celebration of life.



Nora Noldon

Jim Reese of San Jose: Jim Reese is retired. Jim was a buyer for ten years with Lockheed. GE, and Bechtel. Jim was then in field sales for thirty years with various electonic component distributors and manufacturers' representative firms. Jim is past Commander of AMVETS Post 6 San Jose (and past District 5 Commander). He is a member in American Legion Post 564 Santa Clara. Jim earned a BS in Business & Industrial Management from San Jose State College in 1964. He graduated from the US Army Reserve Command & General Staff College in 1979. He received an MA in Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies from JFK University in Pleasant Hill in 2008.  Jim finds ways to improve methods of providing goods and services plus ways to improve customer satisfaction. Jim is an active member of Almaden Super Lions and MUFON.

Richard Roe has been an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ since 1960. He has served as Executive Director of Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing and as a member of the Palo Alto Human Relations Commission. He has taught social ethics and ethical responsibility in health services administration and the University of San Francisco.
